Unity Prep is a Texas nonprofit public charter operating organization governed by a local Board of Directors. The Board provides oversight of the organization’s mission, finances, governance, and long-term strategy.
Unity Prep currently operates one campus, Unity Prep at Stewart, through an 1882 partnership with San Antonio ISD. San Antonio ISD remains the local education agency, while Unity Prep is responsible for leading and supporting the school’s instructional program, staff development, operations, and organizational direction.

Unity Prep’s Board of Directors is responsible for ensuring that the organization remains focused on its mission: to prepare all students to learn with purpose, lead with confidence, and serve their communities.
The Board’s responsibilities include:
Upholding Unity Prep’s mission and values
Providing financial and organizational oversight
Supporting long-term strategy and sustainability
Monitoring progress toward school and organizational goals
Ensuring strong governance and public accountability
Supervising and evaluating the CEO/Superintendent
Virginia Boyce serves as Unity Prep’s CEO/Superintendent. In this role, she works with the Board of Directors, campus leadership, staff, families, and community partners to support Unity Prep’s instructional vision, organizational systems, and long-term strategy.
