About Unity Prep

Unity Prep is a nonprofit public school organization committed to preparing students for success in college, career, and life. Through high expectations, rigorous academics, strong relationships, and meaningful opportunities for leadership and civic engagement, we help students grow as scholars and responsible members of their communities.

Unity Prep operates Unity Prep at Stewart, a PK–8 public school serving students and families in San Antonio through a Senate Bill 1882 partnership with San Antonio Independent School District.

Our History

Unity Prep is the current legal name of the nonprofit organization formerly known as Democracy Prep Texas. 

The Unity Prep name reflects our continued commitment to bringing students, families, educators, and community partners together around a shared vision for educational excellence.
